May I ask who suggested you were addicted to klonopin? Were you increasing your dose on your own?, getting it from sources other than your pdoc? If not, perhaps dependence is the better word, and if it kept you from mania it was doing it's job. My normal dose is 6mg/day (which is not uncommon), although I'm nursing and not taking it now- I do miss it a great deal.
