Don't know what makes Lamictal activating for some--it doesn't seem to have much effect one way or another for me, except for keeping depression at bay, which it does quite well. Also seems to help a little with stimulant poop-out.
> Is Lamictal really activating or is it sedating, because on the side effect profile there is a much larger incidence of Somnolence & Dizziness than there is of insomnia (6%).

> I take 4 mg of Klonopin per day for social phobia in the day & insomnia at night= 1 at breakfast, 1 at lunch, & 2 an hour before bedtime.
> I take Provigil 200 mg in the morning which I believe wakes you up by increasing the action/amount of glutamate? Lamictal decreases the action of glutamate so wouldn't they be just canceling each other out? What makes Lamictal activating, if it is so?
