I`ve seen a lot of ads on tv and in the paper for study participants, but I think they`re very picky about who they choose-if the drug they`re studying is for depression they don`t want anyone with anything else-medical problems, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse etc. They definitely don`t want treatment resistant folks who`ve failed multiple meds. They want the participants to be depressed but not so depressed that they might kill themselves. It`s a very select group, which is probably why the drugs seem to work better in studies than in the real world. Cecilia
