Just like the others have commented, my eyes can't take too much many times. Grocery shopping can exhaust me due to trying to read all the different labels with the different colours, different fonts & size letters, & all the bright colours, not to mention most grocery store's lighting.
I tested very high for Irlen syndrome. (I know - not ANOTHER syndrome!!) But it's a real thing. When I read, I need bright light, but not glaring. And it's best if the paper is not glossy & a very bright white. All the letters seem to have a glow about them & sometimes to almost shimmer. It's very hard on the eyes & reading can get tiring very fast.
Why not go to this site & read it over & do the test. It won't absolutely tell you if you have it but will indicate whether you do or don't. For me, I find that wearing a pure blue lens in sunglasses, "quiets" the visual noise. Different people react to different coloured transparent plastic overlays on paper for reading. Some actually are "quieted" by colours that make my brain want to scream.
Here's the site to test yourself. Try the other links on that page too.
