Prozac has the same antidepressant response rate
as Paxil from a statistics standpoint.

Prozac side effects tend to lean towards being
stimulating (black coffee type effect) whereas
Paxil is more sedating in general. These are just
statistical trends, but everyone's responses may
vary.

A lot of people don't do well on Paxil
but then do well on Zoloft or Prozac. Either
Zoloft or Prozac are good next steps in my
view point given the change in side effect
profiles. Zoloft has a nice property over Prozac
in that its half life (the time in your body)
is not super long, so if you don't like the med
it doesn't take as long to drain from your body
and stop it.

Any of the SSRI's can be added on top of the
Buspar. Buspar is sometimes added to SSRIs to
help get a better response and alleviate side
effects.

Regards,
John
