Remeron is unlike other anti-depressants in that the higher the dose, the less the sedation. I found that 45 mg is tolerably (slightly) sedating & 60 mg is not sedating at all & somewhat energizing. 60 or 75 mg of remeron per day would probably result in little or no weight gain but will not help you sleep at those doses. At higher doses the norepinephrine agonist effect cancels out the antihistamine (drowsiness) effect of the drug.
