Just shot in the dark -
but it's possible on the Ativan, that you sleep much deeper than normally & don't move about much in bed. If you remain in one or two positions all through the night, you might feel stiffer in the morning.

I know the few times, I've slept in the same position, I'll wake up very stiff even though I slept well. Does it sound like that might be it?

> I recently started having muscle aches in my back, sides, and lower abdomen toward the end of the night and into the morning. In other words, lying in bed has gotten to be very uncomfortable by morning. I rotated my mattress, which didn't help. I was trying to think about any changes recently. One thought is that I recently started taking .25 mg ativan every night before bed to help with restless legs. Now I am wondering if the muscle pain has something to do with the muscle relaxant effects of the ativan, or its wearing off by morning. Any ideas?
