> Has anyone else had problems with losing weight on effexor or gaining? I heard people say of gaining, but I am only on 75mg of effexor and losing. Funny that I can spend money to go to a weight loss program for the past year and lose more on my anti-depressant. What do you think?

I lost at first on Effexor...maybe 15 lbs but it came back later. Once I adjusted to the Effexor it made me crave carbohydrates. It was a decent antidepressant, though. I could only tolorate roughly 10mg a day due to horrible anxiety, increased blood pressure, and headaches at higher doses. At my low dose it was probably only working on seratonin. At your dose, you might be also getting increased norepinephrine activity, so your lost weight might not come back (lets hope!!)
