Sadly, I'm almost leaning towards the former. I hate feeling depressed, but I hate looking and feeling this way too. Does anyone have any insight?

I don't have any answers, but I have empathy. I went from 145 lbs to almost 180 lbs in less than two years on Paxil. It took getting off the drug, starving myself of food, and working out *hard* daily for months to get down to 165 lbs. Now the depression is back and I'm trying Prozac with a mood stabalizer. Every morning I take a shower, I can see a little more flab around my midsection, but my energy and motivation to work out is completely gone. If I stay the course I'm sure to be a fatty again. I really feel for you. This is not easy stuff to deal with. Wellbutrin is a decent AD withot the weight gain side effects. Wellbutrin made my mind race 200 mph and made me aggressive, but MANY people do really well on it.
