She said it's got a safer profile that many other drugs, and that she's had many patients on the same dose for years without needing to escalate the dose. Furthermore, she reemphasized that chronic anxiety is just plain bad for you and encouraged me to not undermedicate it, especially with a drug that I seem to tolerate nicely (which is a rare thing for me).
Klonopin is my friend.
