The main reason for coming off the Surmontil is over-sleeping and somnolence. I was prescribed it because the doc thought I had sleeping problems [but I didn't]. However, since I've come down to 100mg [I was on 300mg - no wonder I was over-sedated] I've noticed my background anxiety [what I call anxiety that just seems to be there no matter what you're thinking] increasing again. This is concerning me somewhat as this is likely to increase as the Surmontil leaves my system. On top of that, a lot of posts on PB regarding starting Wellbutrin describe it's anxiety and agitation causing effects. As a result I'm wondering if I'd be better off on Surmontil+Wellbutrin instead of the planned Reboxetine+Wellbutrin. The idea being that Surmontil's pro-sleep, anti-anxiety effects will sit well with Wellbutrin's activating, potentially anxiety-promoting effects.
That's the way my simple little brain sees things anyway :-]
Cheers,
pedr.
