Paroxetine (Paxil)-Amisulpride combo?

Posted by SteveS on January 10, 2002, at 15:35:18

Hi,
I'm thinking if this combo could work well in dep with negative symptoms: an Serotoninergic for total over-control and a dopaminergic for energy improvement, mood elevation, etc..
One of the serotononergic drug most used is Paroxetine, it seems to work right in the most part of the cases.
The dopaminergic most effective is Amisulpride, and seems to work well in about 50% of the cases (but you can swich to Mirapex too).
Usually Paroxetine works in 2-3 weeks, Amisulpride in 1-2 weeks.
What do you think about this combo?
It could work well, in your opinion?
What right effects and side effects could we predict?
Pls share your opinion about!
Bye
