In reply to anyone take Viagra for delayed ( you know ), posted by ross on January 7, 2002, at 21:45:36
Ross,
With all due respect, Viagra has not helped me at all with that specific sexual side effect of using anti-depressant and adjunctive medications; however, it does make it possible to last long enough to reach orgasm eventually. My wife doesn't consider my delayed orgasm to be any sort of "problem" at all.
By the way, it's nicer to say, "I think I'll ASK my doctor if he thinks it is appropriate for me to try Viagra to help overcome some of the side effects of taking anti-depressant medications," rather than "telling him to write me a script for some Viagra." I'm sure you'd do that anyway. It's just a tongue-in-cheek suggestion.
Good luck. Viagra truly is a miracle drug. The first time I tried it (I'm 52), my wife and I spent the whole afternoon laughing. I don't think we had made each other sore in about 15 years.
With kind regards,
Mark H.
