> Hi Mitch, I am "considering this plan" as a proposal to my psydoc. He is very good at listening to what I come up with and then he makes suggestions. He is very open and approachable. Right now I am on Lamictal monotherapy and it seems to have stopped working. So I am looking for alternatives. Do you think the Neurontin is better than the Lamictal?. I was put on the Lamictal 'cause it is supposed to help with the mostly depressive side of my illness and the Lithium made me nauseous, shaky and dopey. Prozac worked for ahwile then stopped( i was on it as an activating ssri plus the PMS help) then we tried Effexor and I couldn't titrate high enough due to headaches. My biggest problem when depressed is the lack of motivation, no energy, just want to sleep, and see no one.

I would suggest *adding* on the Neurontin to your current Lamictal. It would be nice to find that the benefits of the lamotrigine are augmented with gabapentin. Hate to say it-but I am looking for Lamictal+Neurontin success stories and what they comprise,

Mitch
