In reply to Lorraine: please check in every week; it's the law, posted by shellir on January 4, 2002, at 22:53:21
And a lovely law it is! Hi Shelli--so good to hear from you. I hope that things are moving forward for you. I am on day 18 or 19 on my St Johns. First two weeks awful. Yesterday and today better--too early to tell what is affecting what. I am also taking licorice extract (supposed to be good for burnt out adrenals, which I think I have but who knows?). I'm just waiting things out so to speak.
How are you doing? Even with you naturopath, you will need a new psychopharmacologist or are you going back to your old one (not the one who prescribed the meth but the one before that, the one that referred you to the guy who prescribed meth). I read you were going home and going to try a day program. With work you might just do what contractors do and work on what you can and call people when things are ready (when you have good news). At least while things are so unpredictable for you.
I went to my support group the other day and was a weeping monster and someone suggested that when I felt too depressed to get myself out of the house that I call a cab. I thought that was a good idea. My OCD neice is staying with us while she does a program at a well regarded clinic here near UCLA. She is a handful and her mother is alternately believing and disbelieving of the existence of OCD (for years she has told me that my depression was self indulgence)--so this has been stressful for me, but kind of good too because I have been very useful in helping them figure this out.
I have a "healer" now (yes, I am bizarre, but hey this is California and strange things are common place). She suggested on New Years that I make New Years wishes (instead of resolutions).
I wish you the world, Shelli
