dear marlene,

if you have temper outbursts, pure depression is not your problem. I personally do NOT recommend Effexor to your condition. SSRIs (Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Luvox, Celaxa) in high doses + maybe lithium may be the treatment of choice.
