Jane, here's two different sites that sell light therapy boxes.
Lumia Therapy Products: http://www.lumiatherapy.com/products.html and Light Therapy Products: http://www.lighttherapyproducts.com/products_lamps.htmlThe second site has light boxes from a number of different companies. The one I have is a very plain Jane model (no pun or smartass remark intended) called Sadelite at $179. I bought this one as it's much cheaper than many others. Not pretty but gives the same amount of light, 10,000 lux, as the expensive models.
I bought mine on-line three years ago & it's still working good & hasn't needed a replacement bulb yet. Unfortunately, light therapy isn't the answer for me but I do think it makes a big difference if I could use it properly. I find if I sit in front of it for 1/2 hour first thing in the morning, I'll just fall asleep again, bright lights or not. If I don't start moving when I get up, I'll fall asleep. Personally, I wish I had a glass roof instead.
I still use the light box lots for evening. I dislike dim lights - I want everything to be very bright except when I'm doing nothing. But I've used it for many, many hours without it burning out yet after three years.
