Hi there,
my experience of NHS [national health service] psychiatrists is that they will try SSRI, effexor, tricyclic and then give up. I was told by my [reputedly excellent] psychiatrist that I'd tried the "3 main groups" [whatever that means]and that nothing was going to work for me. What a toss-pot. I'm just glad I found this board which has opened my eyes.Currently I am seeing a private psychiatrist who is willing to try polypharmacy and other approaches. He sticks to the 6-8 week trial period though so I guess he's not what you're looking for.
I'd say the chances of finding a psychiatrist in the UK who'll practice Dr Martin's methods are slim but good luck in finding him/her anyway.
HTH,
