Wait for the thyroid results--what tests were done? Also, BTW, synthroid is not the only option. There are a couple of newer brands that are FDA approved. See www.thyroid-info.com

I did have muscle/joint pain (especially in the ankles) when my hypothyroid was bad. Also had edema in lower legs. Interesting about the achilles thing. I didn't know that. I did have tight achilles tendons --think I still do.
