Its an adregenic agonist type stimulant.
> Any experience about its use?
Works great as a decongestant, is nice as a stimulant though it should not be used in ppl w/ heart trouble or excessive anxiety. It does produce a significant amount of tolerance to its effects as well (caused by beta-2 downregulation). Its present in many over the counter cold remedies, as well as all those fat loss products that advertise "a burst of energy and appetite suppression causing you to burn more fat". It is an appetite suppresant. Many bodybuilders use it to loose fat as well because it tends to spare muscle tissue in favor of allowing fat to be used for energy. Seems to help w/ attention for me as well. I like it if you couldn't tell...I've come off it for weeks at a time and still tend to be more tired/fatigued/depressed than when I was on it.
> Therapic effects and side effects?
See above...side effects are primarily excessive stimulation, trachardyia, anxiety, irritability (at high doses) and withdraw symptoms (like most stimulants, you should taper it off when you decide to come off of it).
> What dosage?
Average dose is about 25mgs 2-3 times daily...maximum recommended dose is 125mg's (for once I agree w/ the FDA on this, at dosages higher than that the sides just become worse w/o increasing stimulation or causing a mood elevating effect). Don't take it if you have insomnia...or at least don't take it w/i 7 hrs of going to bed if you do.
