Jane (or anyone with Prozac experience- I presume that'd be a LOT of you!). If she has a higher dose (she's on 20mg at the mo') she gets 'agitated' (her word). Does anyone else have this reaction?
Thanks (this board is proving to be a BIG help, for me at least)

Fluoxetine (Prozac) is supposed to be good for OCD, but your wife would need to be on quite a high dose to notice a reduction in the symptoms that she displays, maybe 60mg. I'm sure that her doctor will up the dose once your wife has become used to the medication, just give it a chance.

My wife is currently on Busperone, Risperidone and Fluoxetine, but it doesn't seem to be doing much good (she's been on it for 3 weeks or so now). Can effexor be used to treat OCD?(I understand it is similar to the combination she is on). And is there a likely genetic link?
