I've actually heard of a few people using Wellbutrin with MAOIs, and although it doesn't seem to be an especially popular combination, I've never heard of a bad reaction (or seen one reported in the literature). I think the combination is probably fairly safe. Some people can't tolerate combinations of MAOIs with stimulants because of hypertension or because of excessive jitteriness.
