> I know that Effexor can cause jerking of legs and body. It usually only happens to me at rest. When I was on XR 75mg it was very mild and managable. Now I'm up to XR 150mg and it's getting worse. Don't get me wrong, I'll take that any day over the major depression I was in, however, has any one had the same prblem? What medication works for this?
Hello
I have been on Effexor XR since April of this year. I have generalized anxiety disorder and depression. I started out on 37.5mg and slowly titrated up to 225mg. That was my "magical" dose. Anyway, I used to have a problem with the jerking you are talking about. It has gone away. It did, however take awhile to go away. I never took anything for it, I just tried to ignore it hoping nobody would notice it.You know not to get off your topic, but I remember seeing a lot of negative posts about effexor. I don't really see that many now. I was always a success story on effexor. I know there are problems with withdrawal symptoms, which I have experienced trying to change to another drug. Anyway...I was just wondering if Effexor has a better rep now. I see many more people trying it with success. It is kinda ugly when you first start up on it though!!
Hope I helped you some
Debbie
