does schizophrenia skip a generation?

Posted by alex01 on December 5, 2001, at 3:21:56

hi

wondering if there is any truth in the idea that schizophrenia skips a generation or at least whether a third generation person's chances of having the condition are increased.

(ps for those kind people who gave me advice when i was having "rushes" from dexamphetamine 3-4 months after I took it once, it did eventually go away with the help of beta blockers and a bit of time) If anyone has any idea why I might be so hypersensitive to meds, not just dex but ssris, beta-blockers, snris and a host of other things i would also be interested.
