Long-term exposure to heat/humidity can adversely effect the shelf-life of many meds. I don't think that taking a med with a hot drink makes any difference, as your body is already about 100 degrees F. The reason you are thinking about heat as helping herbs is that a warm liquid, such as steeping a tea bag, will leech out more of the substance that you are trying to ingest. With herbs, it's best to buy tincures (i.e. herbs in an alcohol base). These are better absorbed by your body, but are also much more expensive. I would research whatever herbs you are taking, and let your docs know too. They even have a version of the PDR that tells them how herbs interact with other meds.
