Hi,
I recently started taking Lamictal as a mood stabilizer and am getting results now that I am up to 75 mg. It's a good mood stabilizer with very little side effects -- I am extremely med sensitive, and it's amazing that I've been able to tolerate this med for over a month now.just a thought ...
good luck with everything,
cindy> I've been on lithium, it helped alright but I've started gaining weight from it. (either that or neurontin has caused weight gain, but I'm assuming the lithium). it seems like when I gained the weight I was eating more, and wouldn't neurontin just cause water retention mostly? been on neurontin about a year; I've been on lithium about two years and it just started getting bad, but when I went off prozac it happened. and my theory is that the prozac counteracted the lithium making my appetite bigger. so my weight was mostly stable until recently. I wish I knew, but it's just a guess.
> I'm currently still on neurontin and serzone. neurontin helps more than anything I've tried, more than all the antidepressants that didn't work, etc. but the only mood stabilizer I've been on is lithium. & I recently took geodon and had to quit because of side effects.
> so my problem is, I need something else, another mood stabilzer to replace the lithium. any suggestions? thanks :)
