For me...I start to feel a horrible kinda dreadful feeling start to come over me. I start to get scared and my heart starts to race and my skin to sweat.

I liken my attacks to the feeling of being chased say, in the woods by someone you don't know in the darkness. I get utterly terrified if I don't take a Xanax right away....kinda like a deer in the headlights.

I will tell you, these attacks are horrible, just awful...I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I started getting them after the birth of my son...alittle over 5 yrs. ago! I thought they might be from post-partum or something; but being how I still suffer from them, I and my doc. don't think they are from post-partum anylonger!

This is how I feel when having an attack...other people, I am sure, experience different symptoms of them.

PLEASE, never let anyone tell you that someone who claims to suffer from an anxiety/panic attack DOESN'T suffer from them...They are REAL and they are just awful.

Also..as a note here (lol), I exercise every other day, with weight training involved and that doesn't help lessen my attacks at all!

Hope this helps adamie.....P.L.
