Follow up..
I dropped off the "package" for the memantine
prescription request. My pdoc is still apologizing for not returning
my phone call for a Klonopin refill and I was
getting severe hostility over it. My psychiatrist is
so nice, but he is so old school. I really wonder if he
will write this script. He sent me to "the best neurologist" in
town to talk about my facial pain, and the neurologist
basically said that the only thing I hadn't tried
was an anti-spasmodic (which Memantine just happens to
be) and he didn't feel that there was much more to
do. So my pdoc has the ball in his course and it
will be very interesting to see if he bites on
this memantine idea. Also the results for
it possibly preventing med poop out would be very
useful for this group. I even would let you
plagerize my dissertation on why the doctor should
prescribe the med if this works.-john
