Some women have also found that they are more sensitive to the effects of alcohol when menstruating. This might make any interaction between alcohol and Celexa that much worse. - Jane
> > > hi there, i'm trying to find out about any side effects of celexa and drinking in women when they're menstuating..sorry boys. the reason that i'm asking is that in talking to one of my friends (really a friend, not me!!!) she said that she went out drinking, remembers being at the bar and woke up with a guy, has no idea how she got there..just little clips of the night, she's married w/kids so not a good situation, she never blacks out, she doesn't think she was given a date rape drug, i guess the guy gave her his # and a ride back to her other friends, anyways, she had her period, strange but it happens i guess, then she was talking to another friend who is also on celexa and was menstuating at the time, same thing happened to her, different bar..etc etc....she never blacks out from drinking, they both did, both on their period, both on celexa, i understand that your sex drive changes with celexa from reading about it..but does this sound familiar to anyone?? of course my friend doens't want her husband to find out so is just going to drop it, she doesn't want to tell him etc etc.
> > > help!! the only thing i can think of is that is was the date rape drug and the other coincidences are just that, the other being..maybe when menstruating as the hormones are going wild, drinking and celexa also affect the part of the brain and an adverse reaction.....????
