Neurotin and weight gain?

Posted by Twain on October 29, 2001, at 21:55:30

After years of anti-depressants and drugs like librium, ativan etc... I'm now taking neurotin by itself. I've been diagnosed with PTSD and borderline personality disorder among other things.

I noticed weight gain with Serzone and other anti-depressants with little benefit so I discontinued them. Also tried Zyprexa which just knocked me out.

I'm concerned that after ten days of Neurotin I'm gaining weight and experiencing slight headaches. I'm taking about 900mgs a day but the psychiatrist wants me to work up to 3600.

Paradoxically, when I only take 100 or 200mgs at a time I feel more energy, less depressed and even euphoric. Any comments about this, weight gain or headaches would be welcome.
