I've noticed a lot of posts on this site about Effexor causing women to lose the ability to orgasm, or the desire to have sex at all, but fewer posts from men on this topic..
I'm currently taking 375mg of Effexor XR /day and I've definitely noticed changes in my sex drive and the way I orgasm. I would go so far as to say I probably agree more with the women- that I just don't care about it, and that having an orgasm seems like it would mean a lot of work. As a man I think it happens to be easier to will yourself to an orgasm if you have to, but that's hardly a consolation.
I guess I'm asking if there's really any difference in the way Effexor XR affects the sex drive of men and women, b/c I don't think so and I'm curious to know other people's stories...PT
