Same here.
For me, any "non-addictive" AD or anticonvulsant gives me sexual dysfunction which *never* goes away.
When I first started taking Xanax, it also gave me bad sexual dysfunction (erectile mainly). However, after a few months on it this problem has decreased significantly and is still getting better. (Unfortunately, the Lamictal I am also taking gives me sexual dysfunction too, mostly sensation and orgasm: it is not going away)
I am not a doctor, but I am betting that it is part of the dependence-tolerance process: the fewer side effects I experience from Xanax over time the more strongly "addicted" to it I am. After 10 years non-stop on other meds this does not really concern me.
I would probably ask your doc to think about long term therapy with Xanax as the main med and use as little AD as possible. Maybe you could use Xanax alone? That would depend on the level of your depression. A warning though: dependence is almost definite with long-term, regular use of Xanax. You and your doc must discuss this thoroughly.
