Zyprexa, sleep and food

Posted by Abajo on October 10, 2001, at 0:55:37

I started zyprexa about a month ago. I was warned about the weight gain, but I never imagined I could feel so hungry after waking up from sleeping. It's ridiculous. I wake up and head strait to the kitchen. I have no control over this. What in the heck do others on this drug do to control your hunger? I have never been a fan of sweets, but now they are all I want. This drug seems to do what the doctors wanted it to do, allow me to sleep for at least 8 hours and reduce my daytime anxiety. But I can't seem to eat enough. I can see eating myself right into an eating disorder on this drug. Anyone have any tips?
