> It sounds like you have the same condition that I struggled with for decades. Mine was very severe. If you want complete relief, the only thing I have found that works without making you feel drugged and truly stop the s.p. almost completely is, Nardil. I also needed some Klonopin to help me sleep and finish off the little bit of anxiety that was left. But here is my warning: The possibility of food /drug interactions really scared me! And even had a negative effect on my social life a little. Also, it is very hard to stop these two meds, separately or, both at the same time would be much worse! Even when you taper slowly it can be a traumatic experience. Nardil has a tendency to work like a on/off switch for s.p. If you take one pill less than the individualized dose that works for you, it's seems like it just stops working. Also I have found that Nardil takes longer to start working. However, this may be due to the dosage being so critical. Another thing is that Dr's. will try to give you meds that could be a deadly mix(Just lack of experience not intentional!). When it started working for me I hardly knew it. I felt like my same old self, only my habits of avoiding people started to turn into habits of finding people to talk to. I became a social butterfly. Probably even became annoying to my co-workers. It was like a personality amplifier. It was a miracle drug for me. It even seemed to enhance my creativity.
Hope this helped... Larry.
