> My wife took two doses of Celexa. She immediately quit and 9 weeks later she is still having spasms, twitching and pin pricks. Her doctor acts as if it's no big deal and thinks it's not even possible.Anyone else have these symptoms? I have the same symptoms from effexor but much worse.I've been off that poison for 2 years. We both take Ativan, and I'm curious as too whether this may have something to do with our similar side-effects.

I was prescribed Paxil. I had a VERY bad reaction to it. I was only on it for 8 days! When I went to my doctor, she also said it couldn't be from the drug. It's funny because i did'nt have any of those symptoms BEFORE I went on it. My symptoms were much worse than your wifes'. Besides the twitching and spasams, I was vomiting, had diarrhea, couldn't sleep and just felt awful all the way around! My pupils were dialated for weeks! My mental problems really took a dive after that. I ended up in the psych ward at the hospital diagnosed with psychotic major depression.I was prescribed Risperdal, Serzone and xanax. I actually got worse. Once I took myself off the risperdal, I started to feel A LITTLE better. The Serzone made me feel like a zombie, very flat and had a lot of very strange and scary thoughts! Then we tried Wellbutrin, felt horrible on that, too. I am currently taking zoloft. I have quite a bit of anxiety and my emotions are very flat. I am afraid to try anything else because of all the side-effects. Before I went on these drugs, i was a pretty normal person with a bit of depression. Now I don't know if I'll ever be normal again! I am not saying these drugs don't help alot of people, I know several people who could not live without them! My nephew is Bi-Polar and without his meds. he goes through hell!So I know this is just MY reactions to these drugs and that they do help alot of people. So in conclusion, yes I do believe that that drug could be why your wife is going through this. Just know it will get better. just hang on! Good Luck!
