Hi Sebbi,

According to the Celexa monograph (which I found on www.rxlist.com), Celexa didn't potentiate (exaggerate) the effects of alcohol in clinical trials, but "alcohol intolerance" is listed as an infrequent side-effect. You probably don't have anything to worry about. Hopefully some people with real-world experience with Celexa will respond to your question; their experiences may not jive with the official info.

Of course, heavy drinking and depression are not a good mix. And you don't need me to moralize to you about the health detriments of heavy drinking even in the absence of depression (though they do seem to go hand-in-hand). We're here to share information and give support.
