losing weight on Effexor XR

I was told that if you take effexor you will most likely gain weight. Well, I am losing weight on the medication. In the past 12wks, I have lost 10 pds. That to me is good because I am overweight. My Dr. wants me to stay on this for 6mos. I take 150mg. I'm looking for anymore information on this type of drug, if there is any one else out there taking this type of drug please email me at hooties30_95901@yahoo.com I would love to hear some feed back on this subject.
