Hi friend.Geodon isn't hurting any. I am a bit behind schedule with my trial. It took time to adjust my dosage of nortriptyline. It seems adding Effexor to nortriptyline causes the levels of nortriptyline to rise. Nortriptyline is one of the few antidepressants that has a therapeutic window - if you take too much, it stops working.
I just raised my dosage of ziprasidone (Geodon or Zeldox) to 40mg. I take it all at night. It doesn't seem to be causing the problems with speech that Zyprexa did early in treatment. I guess I'll post a question about ziprasidone dosages for depression.
Effexor might not have a place in my treatment regimen. I might switch from Effexor to Nardil in a few weeks if adding Geodon doesn't work. I'm somewhat optimistic that combining Geodon or Zyprexa with Nardil + nortriptyline + Lamictal will produce a substantial improvement. I haven't given up on Effexor just yet. It has helped slightly - I think.
Lithium:
IF you do NOT have bipolar disorder, you can use lower dosages of lithium to augment antidepressants. The things I read a few years ago indicated that dosages of between 300mg - 600mg worked well when combined with various drugs, including SSRIs, tricyclics, and MAO-inhibitors. A lot of people respond well when lithium is added to Parnate. Most people I corresponded with responded well to 450mg. I am guessing that blood-levels end up being between 0.4 - 0.6 mEq/L.
I hope this helps.
By the way, Petta, what country are you from?
