Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. How are you holding up?
I have been taking an anti-depressant (Celexa 20 mg) since June, and was diagnosed with Lupus about a month ago (after being misdiagnosed with RA for a year). Looking back, I think depression was one of the early signals of the Lupus - the rash that was misdiagnosed and the depression started at the same time, and fleeting joint pain and extreme fatigue shortly after. I think the combination also delayed my diagnosis, as in "of course you're tired and achy, you're depressed!"
I didn't get the correct diagnosis until I got this incredible vasculitis rash - there was no way they could look at these spots all over me and tell me it was in my head!! But even then my GP tried to blame the vasculitis on the Celexa, but I pointed out to him that I'd been taking it for two months without a reaction!!! If you can get your hands on it, I'd recommend a book called "coping with lupus" - it's mostly about the emotional aspects of Lupus.
