Not precisely.
But eating a diet with lots of whole grains and protien DOES help keep energy levels up/level and while it doesn't make the depression BETTER, it does keep me from having those extra-bad spurts.
Refined sugar is the worst for me, tho...I get tired, I yawn, my brain shuts down...these days I don't eat much of that outside home, cuz all I wanna do is sleep. :Psl
