It kicked in fairly quickly as far as the sedation went. I would say within about a week-two weeks. I wouldn't say as fast as Klonopin, though-Klon was nearly immediate.

I also have some trouble with panic and it helped with that. Impulsivity, yes I think it would work quite well for that. However, in my case (with ADHD), it didn't seem to work on grouchiness as well as Neurontin or a serotonin med (just me though).
