EYE CANT SPEL

Posted by Adam on August 21, 2001, at 15:09:46

I do wonder if there is a physiological explanation. Since I've been taking neurontin to help with sleep (works wonders, I might add), what little spelling ability I ever had seems to be a bit compromised, unless I am extremely vigilant. Even today, I posted in this forum a "what ever" instead of "whatever", used "happyness" instead of "happiness", misplaced hyphens and commas, etc.

Many people say I'm reasonably articulate and a decent writer, and my IQ wouldn't predict my attrocious spelling skills, but without a spell-checker, I'm a disaster. I've read in various places that OCD and some forms of dyslexia may be interrelated by abnormalities in brain physiology.

Sometimes, I do feel like George Dubya, at least in this respect. Ah feel ah must show care to avoid erronical spelling and gramaticims, so that mah posts is not misinterpolated.
