I think that if your doctors think you should be on an antipsychotic, then that's probably the best thing to do. If there is a particular problem or something you don't like with your current AP, you could try substituting others for comparison to see which is best for you.

I'm sure there are people who give up their meds and try to get along without them. I guess it's a balance thing. Some people are willing to endure torture more than they are willing to endure medication. But again, I think it all comes down to being on the RIGHT medication. The right one won't be so disagreeable that you want to throw it out.
