Hi. Me too. Will the sun explode? Do I have some incurable undetectable nuerological disease. Is the universe collapsing? Will I get Mad Cow disease or some deadly airborne virus. Is my daughter late getting home because she has been kidnapped or worse? It comes under the heading of general anxiety disorder(GAD). Although if they are constant ruminating thoughts, they could be caused from other mental disorders. I believe it is the root cause of my treatment resistant depression. (although my dx is Bipolar II) There are several AD"s that purportedly help treat this. I also suffer from panic attacks; an acute & severe reaction culminating in terror, a genuine fear you are dying and/or commpletely losing your mind acommpanied by scary physical syptoms (shortness of breath, chest pain, rapid heartbeat) not much fun. Benzos can be helpful in quelling these episodes. The most succesful drug regimine I used for anxiety was 40mg Paxil w/1mg Klonopin x4/day. Unfortunately the side fx & subsequent mania forced me to dc this combo. Are you currently taking any psycmeds? Do you have a pdoc? There is good treatment available for this type problem but you must seek it out. Good luck. Take carekid
