low T3 syndrome ?

Posted by ben on August 14, 2001, at 13:45:58

My doc said that the TSH level and T4 level is in the range. But what about subclinical hypothyreosis ? I heard that could play a role in depression. So what is as normal thyroid function ? Why didnt my doc checked about the T3 level ? There is a syndrome called "low T3 syndrome" (TSH is in the range, dondt know how it affects T4). Is this a prediction for a successfull augmentation with T3 or T4 ?
Any experiences or explanations ?
Thanks
