Last year, a few years into taking Wellbutrin, I experienced some general anxiety and my doctor put me on imipramine because he said it had a lower incidence of sexual side effects than Zoloft. I'm pretty sure he's right...it doesn't seem as bad as Zoloft. The only negative side effect that I have remaining with imipramine is dry mouth. It's a bit irritating, but not so bad that I want to stop taking imipramine. Imipramine can be cardiotoxic at high levels, so my doctor orders a blood imipramine level on me every six months.
