I took Paxil for 2 years due to dysthymic problems. I had Deep and major depression for 2 years before that.(since I was 13) I must say Paxil was a life saver. It cured my panic attacks/anxiety/OCD(terretts) and my hermit lifestyle but now I am completly off this drug and I am avoiding my friends that I made on Paxil and all my anxiety problems are returning. I can't talk to anyone except my close friends and famity without having major anxiety or sluring my speech. I avoid everyone else as often as I can. They don't know what's wrong with me and I don't want to tell them about my problems.
Altough the Paxil was a lifesaver, it also screwed me up while I was taking it. Some of the major side effects I got were feeling like a zombie, dizzness, headaces, herpes simplex (herpes on the tounge), majorly dry skin, skin discolouration all over my face, hair wouldn't grow where it normally did, I had no emotions, I was able to have no axiety in situations where normal people had anxiety.
I have two active perscriptions now which I have never tried (celexa and wellbutrin sr) and I'm going to try to mix them together after hearing about some very good results.
If this mix doesn't work would serzone be a good choice to take with the wellbutrin??? My depression and my depression related symptoms are hereditary and the SSRI seemed to cure my problems so should I stick to seritonin reuptake and have these awful side effects ?? I hate living with the side effects but if it's ssri's are the only way to keep me going then I will stick with them. I don't think I would be here If it weren't for the paxil. What if I have enough dopamine and norepinephrine in my brain ??? and my hereditary problem is only a low balance of seritonin?
I have really bad terretts syndrome (t.s. is really bad ocd isn't it?) I always had really bad tics and my doctor said seritonin plays a major role in t.s. so mabye my problem is just seritonin and not dopeamine and norephinphrine. I am going to start taking celexa and wellbutrin sr together in the morning and see how this goes. Does anyone have any advice on what else would work for me? >? >
