thanks willow...
haven't been checked for reflux. it's more of a swollen, rattly, sore/tender feeling when i take my first breaths in the morning. only had it since the long bout of bronchitis (2 yrs ago). never smoked, but around plenty of second-hand smoke (until 2 yrs. ago) the scary thing is it's never gone away. i know it can take lungs a long time to heal but this is ridic!!! just got a lung x-ray--- which was fine of course.
as for the cost of meds i feel pretty hopeless about that. it seems the ones who are the drug addicts & criminals get coddled in this society & the ones who really try & work hard & truly need help since the middle class has been obliterated... get no help at all. maybe if i were a drug addict with 6 kids, THEN i'd get some help. the old wives tale of "god/the world helps those who helps themselves" is total B.S.!!!!! years ago i tried getting medical assistance for students but they said you could not be accepted unless you also were accepted for unemployment which you could not get unless you had been fired from your last job. meanwhile here's all these others totally milking the system....!!!
it's extremely frustrating & discouraging. then the docs dangle these drugs in front of you & say this is the only thing that will help"--- and you KNOW it's a luxury.
OK, just had to get all that off my chest.about the effexor, i still haven't ruled it out, just want to make sure it's worth trying... & i won't end up regretting it. do you have any other side-affects or have you ever tried to go off of it? also, have you gotten used to it to the point where it doesn't work anymore?
i'll check those threads about med costs. sorry i haven't been more positive... please let me know more about your experience w/ effexor, if you wouldn't mind sharing. glad you found something that helped!
thanks again, cheers---reb> >LONG bout of bronchitis. lungs have never been the same (soreness in morning)-

If it works, great you get your life back to normal! Doesn't sound like such a problem to me now that I'm standing on the other side of the fence.
