Hi Shellie,
Just for the record, everything I believe and talk about at this board is indeed backed up by enormous amounts of research and clinical studies. They are all available to the public at www.mentalhealth.com. I do not just take ideas out of thin air. All my opinions are based on four things:
1. www.mentalhealth.com studies
2. real life comments from this board over the last three years
3. real life experiences from my pdoc's practice
4. real life experiences from my gp's practiceAnd though it is true I have no professional credentials, I would be quite willing to enter a contest, me against any pdoc, to see who could cure a treatment resistant patient the fastest and the best. I betcha I could humbly win that one more often than not.
And back to the subject of Prozac, in my town of just 3000 inhabitants, my GP has 200 patients on Prozac, and only 50 patients on all other SSRIs combined. There is a simple reason for that. He gets more success with Prozac. You go with what works more often. No credentials or research are needed to do that.
