I would think not. Prozac can cause agitation (both mental and physical)...similar in some cases to irritability. I had physical feelings of agitation and mental agitation at 20mg prozac and so I got lowered to 10mg (which the social worker thought couldn't possibly be helping).

Although sometimes irritability can have roots in depression or hormones (PMS in my case).
I would think a SSRI on the more sedating side of the continum would be better for irritability. I know paxil was very sedating in some ways...made me tired as opposed to the more wired aspects of prozac.
